Prof. Joerg Lahann, PhD

Director, Biointerfaces Institute

Wolfgang Pauli Collegiate Professor of Chemical Engineering

Professor, Biomedical Engineering, Macromolecular Science & Engineering, and Materials Science & Engineering

University of Michigan

Co-Director, Institute of Functional Interfaces

Karlsruhe Institute of Technology

Collaborating Professor

Prof. Tae-Hwa Chun, MD/PhD

Associate Professor of Internal Medicine

Tissue engineering, Metabolism, Endocrinology & Diabetes

Prof. Tae-Hwa Chun is a clinician-researcher specializing in diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and endocrine disorders. His research efforts focus on enzyme-mediated fat tissue remodeling, which maintains healthy fat function and metabolism. High caloric diet causes diabetes and cardiovascular diseases by disrupting healthy fat remodeling and function.

Prof. Chun works with tissue engineering & nanoparticle subgroup to lend his expertise in cellular biology for various applications
